About the game

Forza Horizon 5 is an open-world racing game from British studio Playground Games, published by Xbox Game Studios. The series moves to Mexico, offering players the chance to explore picturesque landscapes ranging from living deserts and lush jungles to historic cities, hidden ruins, pristine beaches, and a majestic volcano.

The project's central feature is a dynamic season system that changes not only the visual presentation but also driving conditions. Dust storms, tropical storms, and other weather phenomena create unique challenges requiring adaptive driving styles. Each week brings new events, challenges, and rewards, ensuring a constant flow of content.

Players have access to hundreds of licensed automobiles that can be tuned and modified. The EventLab toolkit allows creation of custom races, challenges, stunts, and even new game modes. Social features include Horizon Arcade with series of cooperative tasks, plus the ability to share custom creations with the community.

The project launched in November 2021 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, and received a PlayStation 5 port in April 2025. The game supports single-player, cooperative, and multiplayer modes.
